Liability Waiver Form
GENERAL:
All students MUST carry a notebook with them and bring them to the class. The theka will be explained to them and they are to write down the notations and details about the composition.
Students should arrive 10 minutes before class begins and tie the ghungroos in the waiting area.
While waiting for their class to begin, students are encouraged to come before their class timings to observe the class in session..
The teacher’s judgement must be respected first and foremost.
Any feedback, positive as well as constructive is an honor and should be taken positively. It shows you how much a teacher cares about your progress as a dancer
No Chewing gum allowed in class.
The dance classes involve physical movement and exertion and represent that the student enrolled in the dance academy is in good physical health and is capable of performing the dances and exercises required for participation in the classes.
PERFORMANCE:
The teachers have the authority to decide which students get to participate in any performances choreographed by the dance academy and parents are not to force the teachers to include a student in any public dance performances.
The dance academy reserves the right to use photos and videos of students from dance class or performances for advertising and marketing.
The dance academy choreography and performances may be subject to appropriate copyrights and may not be used or performed without the consent of the NrityaVarsha Dance academy.
Students are expected to practice weekly lessons at home. Students will not progress without consistent practice and effort. Communicate with NrityaVarsha openly about any issues or concerns that your child or you are facing regarding the class through email.
Dropping and Picking up.
Parents are no longer allowed in the classroom unless the student is a beginner
Parents are supposed to drop their kids off or stay in the waiting area.
Parents will have each student’s feedback and homework during picking up time.
We expect regular attendance from all the students at Nrityavarsha Dance Academy to reach full potential in class.
Students taking exams should take into consideration that it requires a lot of practice and regular attendance to achieve best results. We cannot rely on Miracles only!.
Attire
We are going to introduce a uniform from January 2019. Please wear white kurta preferably Lucknawi cotton with any color dupatta and any style leggings or salwar. Hair neatly tied back and ghungroos with ankle pads.
Hair neatly tied, pinned back away from the face. Uniform does not need to be worn for all practices.
Students coming straight from school should carry their dance bag which includes their attire, ghungroos and their notebook.
PLAY CLOTHES/SHORTS/T-SHIRTS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR DANCE!
Photo Release Form
I acknowledge and consent to allow NrityaVarsha Dance Academy to use: photos and/or videos of my child/myself in publications (such as flyers/brochures), advertisements (such as newspapers or online ads), our studio’s website, or on social media sites (such as the studio’s Facebook or Instagram account). I further understand there will be no financial compensation for use of these photos/videos.
